Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of OpenOwl services and software. By requesting an assessment, hiring us, or using our software, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to do so.

What we provide

OpenOwl builds, hosts, runs, and maintains automations for your business. This includes desktop automation for software that has no API and workflow automation using tools such as n8n, Make, and Zapier. The exact scope of each engagement is described in the quote we send you before work begins.

Quotes and payment

Automations start at $999 to build, plus a monthly fee to run and maintain them. Before any work starts, we give you a fixed quote for the build and the monthly amount. You approve the quote in writing, and we do not exceed it without your agreement. Monthly fees continue for as long as we host and maintain the automation.

Our delivery guarantee

If your first automation is not live and working as agreed within 30 days of the approved start, you owe nothing for that build. This guarantee covers the first automation in an engagement and assumes we have the access and information needed to do the work.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give us the access, credentials, and information we need to build and run the automation, and you confirm you are authorized to let us automate the systems involved. You are responsible for keeping your own software licenses and accounts in good standing. You agree not to ask us to automate anything unlawful or anything that violates another provider's terms.

Ownership

Our automation engine and the underlying software remain the property of OpenOwl. You own your business data and the specific configuration of the automations we build for you. For desktop automations that run on your machines, the automation stays with you for as long as your engagement is active.

Reliability and maintenance

Automations interact with software that changes over time. When a change breaks an automation we maintain, we fix it as part of your monthly service, usually the same business day. We cannot guarantee that a third party's software will never change in a way that pauses an automation, but keeping it running is exactly what the monthly fee covers.

Warranties and liability

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. Except as stated in these terms, the services and software are provided as is, without other warranties. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Term and termination

Either of us may end an ongoing engagement with reasonable notice. If you end the service, we stop maintaining the automation and stop billing the monthly fee. Fees already paid are not refunded except where these terms or the law require it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
